The Resource Center, formerly known as The Connecting Center, first opened its doors in 2013 to assist families through relief funding. Since 2016, we have served over 4,000 Individuals with assistance totaling over $120,000. Many area churches and individual partners steward funding into our center to disburse to area families who qualify for funding.

The need for funding is especially great for single parents who come to us with children that due to several unplanned situations; a family sickness, medical bills, car & home repairs, time off work to stay home with sick kids, etc., they become behind in their monthly budget with no savings to help them climb out of these financial burdens. Usually, when a client walks through our doors, its right before foreclosure, eviction, water or lights getting ready to be turned off, or a deep financial crisis. Through the Resource Center relief funding is given for families needing these types of assistance.

The Resource Center team interviews each client, walking them through financial budgeting and planning, offering additional community and church resources to help the family short and long term. Every family that calls our center or walks through our doors are prayed for. The goal in mind is to help Wells County families walk out of crisis mode with all the possible community resources into a new outlook and hope for their future.

Here are what 2 Clients have to say about the Resource Center….

“Thank you so very much for negotiating with Extreme Auto and paying off my car. You’re such a blessing, I’m forever grateful. Please reach out to me when you do your Christmas benefit, hopefully we can donate some cookies and cupcakes. God Bless you! Also, I did reach out to (…) and they are helping immediately.” KA

“The Resource Center is not only for assistance but for Grace. Praising God for all He provides. The Resource Center helped me feel God’s presence and that I would be supported by the help at the center and the Holy Spirit.” A
