My name is Rachel Owen. I have been married to my amazing husband for 12 years and we have 2 beautiful children and 2 crazy dogs. I have a bachelor’s degree in business management and I am a project lead in the Genomic Medicine Department at Parkview. I have been the head of the outreach team for Park Community Church for 10 years. During this time, I started a ministry called Snack Zone, which provided snacks to the kids at the library each week for 5 years. After the pandemic started, the library found other ways to do this and our church helped contribute and facilitate. In 2015, I was also able to start FOODFIGHT!, a charity that covers the negative balances of school lunches in Wells & Adams counties. I have always felt called to missions and especially in my own community. When asked to be a part of Community Care by joining the board in 2021, I wasn’t sure what God had in mind, but knew this is where HE was calling me. I love being a part of a ministry that is meeting so many needs in our community and is absolutely focused on God and HIS plan.
